About Rainbow Carwash

Rainbow Carwash is a car wash in Renton, Washington. It is listed at 4606 NE Sunset Blvd, Renton, WA 98059, which places it among the local businesses of Renton that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

Renton is in Washington, in the Pacific Northwest, where winters are mild and wet, summers are dry and pleasant, and outdoor recreation drives a lot of local business; hours change little through the year. Getting around Renton is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Washington's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The lines were not too bad. We had time to throughly vacuum the suv. Then we washed, total $8.00. Nice, the sun was shinning, nice breeze. We let the suv air dry lol.

If you arrive during the daytime, the car wash always has a worker around to help with things like answering questions, using the self service areas and addressing malfunctions. I have never experienced issues at this car wash location. If it's too crowded, I come back a different time/day. One time, I ended up paying for the car in front of me (touchless/automated car wash) and now I know why they occasionally post signs telling people not to pay until the bay is clear (to prevent problems/fraud/mistakes). The person working there at the time was very kind and helped me. I will gladly return due to the excellent service/assistance I received.

I used the self service bay tonight. It was a great experience! I can see that the management really cares about their customers and try their best to address any negative reviews. I saw a review about lacking the hooks to hang car mats. They have it now which makes me so happy. The car wash is very well maintained and cleaned. I’m a new customer, and I will definitely come back!! Few things I want to bring up to the owner’s attention though, for improvement: When I tried to pay for my 2nd wash, the card machine didn’t read both of my cards, and this was on the first bay to the right. I used both card and cardless methods to pay. It finally worked but after trying for 5 minutes. I will check my cards to see if I get charged for those unsuccessful swipes. The stop button on the card reading machine didn’t stop the timer. It didn’t stop charging my card unless I switched the car wash control back to Stop. It costed me $1 to figure it out (hence I deducted 1 star). This is just a minor thing, but the light on the left of my bay was out, so I was washing half of my car in the dark.

So. When it comes to the automatic wash, Brown bear kicks this one out of the park, they're not comparable. I still had foam in my car after the wash. However when it comes to self service wash. This one is 1000 times better than Brown bear. At everything.

Automatic car wash missed my headlights?? My credit card info was stolen after visiting this car wash! How I'm sure? Because I only use this card for Costco. Just my luck, the first time I use it somewhere else they swipe my card info...
